# Winter Rush 2026 — Beta-Nu Chapter

Winter Rush 2026 runs Monday, January 12 through Thursday, January 15, 2026 — Week 2 of Winter Quarter — with each open event from 6 to 8 PM. There's no commitment to attend: show up to any event, meet the brothers, and decide for yourself. Invite-only events follow on Friday and Saturday.

## Schedule

- **Monday 1/12: BBQ @ NOMO** — 6 - 8pm — NOMO.
  Free BBQ and a chance to meet brothers and get your questions answered.
- **Tuesday 1/13: Sports Night @ DOERR** — 6 - 8pm — Doerr Field.
  Play games with the brothers and hang out in a relaxed setting.
- **Wednesday 1/14: Game Night @ The Island** — 6 - 8pm — Meet at PAC for rides.
  Meet at the PAC for rides, then play games and spend time at the fraternity house.
- **Thursday 1/15: Professional Night @ The Castle** — 6 - 8pm — Meet at PAC for rides.
  A career-fair-style night with brothers and alumni answering questions about classes, clubs, projects, internships, and full-time roles.
- **Friday & Saturday Friday / Saturday: Invite-only** — TBD — Private events.
  Invite-only events for the next stage of recruitment.

## Eligible majors

Sigma Phi Delta at Cal Poly is open to students in any ABET-accredited engineering major, plus Computer Science. Eligible majors:

Sigma Phi Delta is a professional-social fraternity for engineers, so membership is open to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo students in an ABET-accredited engineering major, plus Computer Science. The chapter lists 16 eligible majors: Aerospace, Architectural, Biomedical, Bioresource and Agricultural, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, General, Industrial, Manufacturing, and Materials Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Software Engineering; Liberal Arts and Engineering Studies; and Computer Science.

### Is Sigma Phi Delta a professional fraternity or a social fraternity?

Both. Sigma Phi Delta is a professional-social fraternity: professional in that it admits only students enrolled in, or working toward, an engineering degree, and social in that members live together in chapter houses and the chapter runs social and athletic programs for actives and alumni. Its stated object is to advance the engineering profession and engineering education, build cooperation among engineering students, and foster brotherhood.
